It took Pedro Rodriguez 20 minutes to score his first goal for Chelsea as the Spanish attacker managed to find the back of the net in his debut match as a player of the Premier League club. This is a huge accomplishment for a player who was mostly just used as a back-up option in Barcelona.

There is no denying that Pedro made a huge impact in his first match wearing the blue jersey and has sparked his career in full force, this is what Radamel Falcao is hoping to accomplish just hasn’t been able to do since arriving to Stamford Bridge.

Radamel Falcao hasn’t been able to stand out and score goals on a consistent basis ever since he left Athletic Madrid and joined As.Monaco back in May of 2013.

The Colombian forward managed to find the back of the net on 52 occasions during his 2 season long spell in Athletic Madrd and this has been the highlight of his career.

Jose Mourinho took a bold risk in signing Falcao as the veteran manager decided that he wants to see Falcao back in the pitch scoring goals on a consistent basis like he used to do in Athletic Madrid but the player himself has admitted in saying that it will take time.

Falcao confessed in saying that it will take time for him to rediscover his form as he said: ‘’I think it will take me a little bit longer to fully understand everything because you need to play in a team to get to know everyone and all the processes of the team. Through pre-season I have started to know those things and, with more games and minutes, I will learn even more and we will get to know each other better’’

From the 3 opening matches of the season of Chelsea, Falcao has only registered 29 minutes as Jose Mourinho is utilizing the Colombian attacker as a substitute player who can make an impact in the later stages of the match, much like Javier Hernandez used to do with Real Madrid and still does in Old Trafford.

It’s incredibly hard to make an impact in any team or any match with such a limited amount of playing time but Radamel Falcao somehow has to make it happen if he wants to have any chance of earning an extended contract in Chelsea or attract the interest of another top club.

Radamel Falcao scored his first goal as a Chelsea player on August 29 when he entered the pitch during his clubs’ 1-2 loss against Crystal Place. Even though the Colombian forward found the back of the net, his goal made no difference upon the final result as they still lost the match.
